a cabinet for two

As I have just one more week left here in Seoul I started to work through a long list of things I ever wanted to do here or need to do another time before going back home.
Not surprisingly this includes also to eat a lot of food....I'm still not overeaten on Korean food so I try to eat as much as possible. ;)

Tonight it the decision fell to a classical chicken & beer dinner, which is probably not originally Korean but still beloved by Koreans. It's simple but good!

To tick off another point on my list, Kate and I went to a DVD Bang (= room). These establishments are a combinition of a video rental store and a theatre. You pick a movie of your interest and get a small room with a comfy couch, a heater, a blanket and a big screen in it to watch it there.
You have three guesses to find out who's their best customers...of course couples! No wonder, as they are not even allowed to kiss in public, or at least it is frowned upon.
As I didn't have a man with me I will never know what Koreans are actually doing in there, probably just watching a movie. ;)

Our choice was 'My sassy girl', a 2001 Korean romantic comedy, that was extremely successful in South Korea. It is totally different to Hollywood productions or the humor I'm used to but reflects Korean relationships pretty good. For me it was especially interesting to compare it with films from Hollywood or Europe and also to analyse Asian/Korean humor.
