Anyang is a city 25km south from Seoul but connected via subline. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains and therefore a popular travel destination especially for Seoul residants.
In 2005 the APAP (Anyang Public Art Project) was inventet and startet its first project: the Anyang Art Park.
It contains of 52 sculptures of various artists from all around the world, and is located in a forest at the foot of a mountain.
Kate and I had a wonderful time exploring the area, finding the sculptures and dancing with the spinning Buddha.
On the way back to the subaway we passed this beautiful coffeeshop. It had kitschy rosepillows, rocking chairs and a cute little dog to play and pet. The nice lady, that owns the coffeeshop kept translating the menu to us, although we tried to tell her that we can read Korean. After a while she we gave up but when she finanlly realised what we wanted to tell her before she hit us for making her read the whole menu. She was cute though.
I had the most delicious Chai Latte while listening to Christmas songs and rocking myself almost to sleep.
What a wonderful day!!!
